Introduction to G7 method and G7 certification

  G7 process method introduction

GRACoL is an American lithographic offset commercial printing specification organization. It is a sub-committee of IDEAlliance responsible for offset printing technology research. G7 is a new set of printing standardization correction, detection and control created by the organization. So strictly speaking, G7 is a process control method. This method focuses on the control of neutral gray and emphasizes the effect of visual gray balance. Among them, G represents gray value calibration, and 7 represents the 7 basic colors defined in the ISO12647-2 printing standard: cyan, magenta, yellow, black, red, green and blue.

This method can not only be applied to the calibration of printing equipment, but also can be used for other CMYK output devices, such as inkjet printers, laser printers, etc.; and when using the G7 method for general calibration, there is no adjustment to paper, ink, and screen lines. Special requirements for counting, printing and output systems.

  G7 Certification

G7 certification refers to the use of the G7 calibration method to calibrate the printing system. Under the condition that the properties of the paper and ink used and their tolerances must meet the requirements of ISO12647-2, the entire printing process will finally meet the standard requirements of ISO 12647-2. , so as to obtain the certificate of "G7 certification".
